Augments and the Augment system launched with Game Update Augments rank up similar to Artifacts, using Exobytes for item experience.

There are two kinds of Augments - Origin and Adaptive. Origin Augments rank up and grow with your character permanently. Once activated, look at your minimap.

You will notice the following: Alright, so let's have a look. It will go away after expiring. Definitely keep an eye on that, cause once it's gone, it's gone. The other 3 icons are the locations of 3 in this case nodes. Note that they don't indicate exact heights. Look for clues in the minimap's representation of buildings.

For example, the one I'm staring at white dot with angle is on a building, while the one slightly to the right is on the ground. You'll also see that one of the symbols goes slightly off the map. That indicates that it is not quite within the range of the minimap, but a little further in that direction.

Best use of this item? Keep on moving and watch the minimap. In Metropolis!!! If you have the cash, definitely well worth it. Finally, make use of the steam community : While exobit hunting, if you run into trouble, shift-tab over to this guide and look for a solution, or leave a comment.

That's it. Happy hunting. So you're done hunting, and you want to know what's to do now. You have several options: - Send them to one of your other characters : you can do that by using the shared bank located at your headquarters. If you do that, be careful not to craft the exobits into a fully-fledged exobyte just yet-there's more than one way to make an exobyte.

To trade them, use the trade chat to offer them. Exobits are traditionally traded in "stacks" of 8, so however many you have, divide them by 8 and offer that number of stacks eliminate any remainder. Don't assemble them in this case either-remember, there's more than one way to make an exobyte. First, let me clarify: I've said that there's more than one way to make an exobyte. This is because although there are 3 different types of exobits, there are actually 6 types of exobytes.

Think of it like a simple colour wheel: 8 blue bits make a blue byte, 8 red bits make a red byte, 4 red bits and 4 blue bits make a purple byte, and so on. Since you don't know what kind of exobyte people might want, you don't assemble the exobits.

One other thing-when crafting mods, keep in mind that your gear has what are called "Socket Affinity Bonuses". It just means that if a red mod is placed in a red socket, the item gets an additional bonus because of the socket affinity. There are no green, purple, or orange socket affinity bonuses, but that is because these secondary colours provide socket affinity bonuses to both of their primary colour ingredients.

For example, an orange mod would provide a socket affinity bonus to both a red socket and a yellow socket, and so on.

Well, that's it then. You are now a master exobit hunter. Have fun!! A lot of people have been commenting with questions about the reason for my choice of movement mode. I will now cover that in detail. First, why Acrobatics? Well, in order to understand this choice, we need to look at what we need, and then what each of the 3 movement modes give us.

So, what do we need? Well, we're hunting Exobits, so we need to get to as many Exobits as possible in as little time as possible. Where are they?

Well, if you've found any, and most of you have, you would know that they can be in the darkest alley filled with thugs, or on the broken railroad tracks in midair, or even on tops or on outcroppings on the sides of buildings, large or small. So, we need a movement mode that's: -Fast -Easy and quick control - there's no point in being fast if you keep overshooting your target. I think that's enough requirements. Let's move on to the comparisons: Flying: -Slow - I couldn't find any other movement mode that takes longer to scale the Daily Bugle than it takes a speedster to scale WayneTech HQ.

You could turn on super-speed, but you'd miss every exobyte you saw Sure, you can finish him in quick order Same if you use a power Not much effort, granted, but the other movement modes have way better controllability. Summary: Flyers, I love you guys, but in a race for an exobit Sell them for 1mil a stack. LastSonOfEarth , Jul 22, Honestly I don't see the big deal.

Yeah yeah, been saving up stacks for future mods and stuff and that's out the window. But they can still boost the new augments so they're totally not worthless. Hell, the devs could've just introduced the augments and then made all those exos and materials actually worthless. At least we get something out of it. Who cares if it's only a small amount of XP.
